Spill Stories is an Instagram community platform that shares raw and honest writing to cut through the plastic exterior of social media. The stories target women of color to make us feel less alone and more okay with imperfection. While Spill Stories is designed consciously with an audience in mind, anyone is welcome to share their story (women, men, gender non-binary friends). Spill Stories regularly features different series topics; anyone is invited to submit a piece that relates to that theme.
The greater purpose of the platform is to use writing as a tool to encourage catharsis and empathy. The intention behind this purpose is to help people see the humanity in others through storytelling.
